Twin 695mm dynamically balanced horizontal beaters have laser cut 10mm heat treated BORON steel flighting to improve strength and service life. Reversible hardened cutters manufactured using BORON steel are bolted and supported along the back edge, shred products giving an even and consistent feed on to the spinning discs
Manufactured from HARDOX, the 1.1 meter diameter spinning discs are fitted with multi-position BORON, reversable spreading blades. Blade angle is adjustable to achieve the correct spread patterns for a wide variety of materials. Spreading widths from 12 to 30 meters are possible depending on the density and nature of the product being spread
To fine tune spread patterns the angle of the blades on the disc can be adjusted through 5 positions
The lower section of the rear canopy is adjustable to help achieve the correct spread pattern with different products

To reduce the scrub on tyres and damage on grassland when turning the 380HD comes with front and rear self-steering axles
530mm Bolt on flared extension sides are standard on 380 HD, add considerable carrying capacity to the machine, spreader design load capacity should be checked relative to the density of the material to be carried. Bolt on is standard allowing for machines to be containerised for transport
Full width floor slats clear the whole floor eliminating the possibility of bridging – a problem sometimes encountered with multi slat floor systems. The socket fit design facilitates maintenance, which can be carried out in the field. It also allows the chain to pull straight, should a slat become bent
Grade 80, 20mm heavy duty chains are drawn by high tensile sprockets. Sprockets are fitted to the front floor shaft as well as the driven rear shaft, ensuring perfect alignment and timing of the chains, which, in turn makes for a more reliable floor drive. Each chain has a 50 tonne breaking certificate
The heavy duty, one piece, disc drive gearbox has 54 mm diameter, heat treated output shafts. The precision machined gearbox castings ensure perfect alignment of all the drive line components
The wide angle joint allows for turning on headlands with the PTO still engaged. Instead of shear bolt protection a cam clutch can be fitted to PTO
The PTO drive line uses Heavy Duty T80 shafts with 1 ¾” splined connections suited for heavy, demanding materials
The 1000 series floor drive gearbox is hydraulically driven to ensure an even feed of material to the spreading mechanism at all times. With a reverse feature, any foreign object too large to pass through the beaters can be easily removed. An adjustable cross-line relief valve also delivers additional protection
The horizontal beaters are driven by heavy duty Renold roller chains which incorporate solid rollers and bushes. These are chosen for their unbeatable resistance to wear, fatigue and most of all shock loading. An automatic cam driven oiler keeps the chains and sprockets lubricated
A 250mm heavy duty box section drawbar with 21 Tonne spring are combined together for strength, reliability and comfort

A robust, simple and reliable floor tensioning system ensures floor chain tension can be easily adjusted in order to be kept to its optimum setting. Floor chains are visible from the exterior of the machine making it easy to judge when tensioning is required
70mm floor drive shafts rotate through polyester re-inforced composite bushes that contain a solid graphite filler, chosen for their high load applications in a variety of environments they are greasable, further extending their life. Bush highlighted in red
An extremely strong design and construction ensures that the door can be used as a grading device for light applications of materials as well as a device for retaining very runny products
As an option the rear canopy can be opened hydraulically to enable the machine to make windrows for composting or for ease of maintenance. Safety props are supplied and should be used prior to carrying out maintenance
This deflects the material down to the ground and limits the spread width on one side. This prevents material being spread through hedges, into water courses, etc
The in-cab electric remote floor speed control allows the operator to make adjustments to the floor speed while on the move

HMW plastic floor virtually eliminates the possibility of products sticking to the floor of the spreader. It can also improve the flow of products with high friction values. The material is extremely durable and is in addition to the spreaders standard floor construction
The stone guard extension gives more protection to the tractor cab from stones being thrown forward by augers/beaters
The option of hydraulic suspension can be added to all tandem and tridem axle spreaders. It gives unrivalled stability, comfort and handling on uneven ground, loaded and unloaded. The addition of a lifting front axle aids in weight transfer and reduces wear. Hydraulic heavy duty drawbar enhances operator comfort and gives precise machine levelling so weight is spread evenly over all axles. 230 rear steer only, 380 HD front and rear steering

Spreaders with a weigh cell system can have an overload beacon fitted. This helps operators loading the spreader know when a desired weight has been achieved to reduce chance of overloading. Beacon is magnetic and can be moved to improve visibility. Not available on GT400
