Twin 695mm dynamically balanced horizontal beaters have laser cut 10mm heat treated BORON steel flighting to improve strength and service life. Reversible hardened cutters manufactured using BORON steel are bolted and supported along the back edge, shred products giving an even and consistent feed on to the spinning discs
Manufactured from HARDOX, the 1.1 meter diameter spinning discs are fitted with multi-position BORON, reversable spreading blades. Blade angle is adjustable to achieve the correct spread patterns for a wide variety of materials. Spreading widths from 12 to 30 meters are possible depending on the density and nature of the product being spread
To fine tune spread patterns the angle of the blades on the disc can be adjusted through 5 positions
The lower section of the rear canopy is adjustable to help achieve the correct spread pattern with different products
Full width floor slats clear the entire floor area, eliminating the possibility of bridging, a problem sometimes encountered with multi chain and slat floor systems. The “socket fit” design allows for easy maintenance which can be carried out in the field, it also allows the chain to pull straight should a slat become bent
16mm, grade 80, heavy duty chains are drawn by high tensile sprockets, which are fitted to the front shaft as well as the driven rear shaft, ensuring perfect alignment and timing of the chains. Each chain has a 32 tonne breaking strain certificate. The same specification chain is used throughout the Mk4 range
The heavy duty, one piece, disc drive gearbox has 54 mm diameter, heat treated output shafts. The precision machined gearbox castings ensure perfect alignment of all the drive line components
The 800 series floor drive gearbox is hydraulically driven to ensure an even feed of material to the spreading mechanism at all times. With a reverse feature, any foreign object too large to pass through the beaters can be easily removed. An adjustable cross-line relief valve also delivers additional protection
The horizontal beaters are driven by heavy duty Renold roller chains which incorporate solid rollers and bushes. These are chosen for their unbeatable resistance to wear, fatigue and most of all shock loading. An automatic cam driven oiler keeps the chains and sprockets lubricated
A robust, simple and reliable floor tensioning system ensures floor chain tension can be easily adjusted in order to be kept to its optimum setting. Floor chains are visible from the exterior of the machine making it easy to judge when tensioning is required. 60mm high tensile shafts are used
60mm floor drive shafts rotate through polyester re-inforced composite bushes that contain a solid graphite filler, chosen for their high load applications in a variety of environments they are greasable, further extending their life. Bush highlighted in red

As an option the rear canopy can be opened hydraulically to enable the machine to make windrows for composting or for ease of maintenance. Safety props are supplied and should be used prior to carrying out maintenance

Spreaders with a weigh cell system can have an overload beacon fitted. This helps operators loading the spreader know when a desired weight has been achieved to reduce chance of overloading. Beacon is magnetic and can be moved to improve visibility. Not available on GT400
The GT 400 not only displays the live weight in the machine but also allows the operator to add the total weight up by pressing the start/stop button after every load. This simple weigh unit can be fitted through the whole range of Bunning muck spreaders from the 60 to the mammoth 380HD. The system is integrated with the same 20 tonne load cells as used on the popular and proven Topcon Apollo systems
As an option the machine can be manufactured to take weigh cells at a future date. The dummy weigh cells can be easily removed and replaced with full weigh cells.
